Hotels

Hotels in Germany can range from an economically priced room to a lavish luxurious suite. German hotels use stars, based on uniform criteria, to classify a hotel. You will generally find that the employees are friendly and willing to help, and even in smaller hotels at least the owner or manager will likely speak English. Some larger hotels might ask for a deposit to reserve a room while most small hotels will only require a credit card. Typically you will find that the check in time is after 3pm and the checkout time is by 11am.

A typical room will have a queen bed or two twin beds that can be pushed together to make one. In the smaller hotels and bed and breakfasts, you will typically find down filled pillows and one twin sized down comforters for each person. Most rooms will have a TV, phone and storage for your clothing.

Tourist Information centers located in large train station, airport and city centers, will offer a wide variety of accommodation information to help you find a hotel to suit your needs and your budget.
