Entry Requirements
U.S. citizens do not require a visa to enter Finland for visits of less than 90 days. Pets are allowed to enter the country as long as they are at least 10 weeks old and have valid vaccination certificates. Pets must be vaccinated at least 30 days but less than one year prior to the date of entry.
Local Time
Finland is 7 hours ahead of Eastern Time in the United States and Canada. Daylight savings time is not observed between March and October when Finns are 8 hours ahead of the Eastern Seaboard.
Languages
Finnish and Swedish are the official languages. Finnish is a difficult language related, in Europe, only to Hungarian and Estonian, but English is widely spoken in cities and major tourist areas. Swedish is the first language for about six percent of Finland's population.

220 V, 50 Hz. The Continental two-round-pin plug is standard.
